One of Victoria's longest running regional festivals.
The Shepparton Festival committee engaged Ros in 2014 as its first Artistic Director. Until then the festival had been run by the volunteer committee. Ros’s mission was to transform this modest regional festival into an engaging platform for social inclusion, creativity and access to the arts throughout Greater Shepparton.
Worked closely with local artists, organisations and industries Ros created an exiting program of 42 events across all art forms, under the theme ‘Grown, Picked and Packed’. The festival celebrated the city, towns and region by providing connections to the geographical environment and landscape. With the tag line, ‘Unique Events in Unusual Places’, it transformed familiar places into festival spaces in four Goulburn Valley towns (Shepparton, Ardmona, Dookie, Murchison).
Community response to the festival’s new look was overwhelmingly positive.
The marketing icon of the 2015 Festival was a can that was used to both reflect and strengthen the theme.
